i have done the secret pal thing. several times... you know, i've had an ok experience with it, and i'm going to do it again. i'm really a gift giver kind of person, so i like putting the boxes together... i have had people who just never sent anything. i've had people who over spent... it's really just a draw. try it... maybe i'll get you. ;)

btw... i really am enjoying your podcast!

Thanks to you I am now wanting to make the Salinas shawl, so now I am thinking about what I have in my stash that could work. I want to use wool for it bacause that is so much niver to block than cotton blends. And now this podcast you temt me with the lake of the woods... I need more hours in the day, I have so many projects than I want to do that my head is spinning. On the shawl business I am currently working on a Birch, my second one actually in Wool lace from Handpaintedyarn.com And I am planning on knitting this shawl in Rainbowcolored Kauni http://www.elann.com/ShowFreePattern.asp?Id=111024
I have been doing lots of Secret pal rounds here in scandinavia, someone keeps within the rules, someone goes completely overboard and someone dissapoints you. But that is some of the excitement by taking part in a swap like that, you never know what you get.

I've only done swaps that originate on the Lime and Violet messageboard, but I've had good luck each time. I do so love the excitement of shopping for someone and sending e-cards or e-mails. It is all what you decide to put into it and help that your sender at least meets the requirements of the swap. You know Beth of Doodlebirds Creations - I had her for the Magic Yarn ball swap - we've been friends ever since. Julianne had me as her partner in the Official Yarn Pr0n Swap and we still visit each other's blogs to say hi. Maybe you can chair a purse swap next. :)

Forgot to say I love the ring. It makes me smile every time I look at it.

I was listening to your podcast the other day where you were talking about how you knit under the table at restaurants.
I just want to say, be proud to be a knitter and knit on TOP of the table. You have nothing to hide, nothing to be embarrassed about, and I'm sure you'd sell some more of your lovely purses if people saw you knitting them in public!
Love your podcast!

How cool that you are going to meet Marly. Will you do a podcast together?

Love your podcast and love your rings. If I could find my size, I would order from you. I wonder if the sizes in rings are the same in Europe as in US?
