Hi Sharon,
I realize I'm posting a comment waaaay after the fact, but I just wanted to tell you how wonderful it was to listen to this episode. I was actually IN Yokosuka in March, if you can believe it, and I had the opportunity to meet Kathleen and was invited to her knit night on the base, as well as meet up with her knit group in Tokyo. It was a wonderful experience, and everyone was so incredibly generous with their time and welcoming, I feel as though, were I to move there tomorrow, I'd already have a nice circle of knitting friends. So thanks!
